Buying A Puppy
Thank you for your interest in my boxers. I am a small but top quality breeder and one of the few breeders in America who breeds German / European boxers.
In Germany, the boxer has always been bred for working ability, especially for SchH test. All breeding stock has to be temperament tested. If the dog or bitch does not pass the test they are not qualified for breeding.
The conformation of the German boxer is somewhat different from the American one. German boxers have more substance and are heavier in bone, which makes them larger than their American counterparts.
The head piece is somewhat different too, as the German boxer has a higher and narrower skull, the muzzle is broader, with good undershot and a slightly curved, well marked chin. As the German boxer has been bred to work, the Munich Boxer Club of Germany has established an ideal boxer temperament standard, which is the following:
Willingness to work:
Very eager (+3)
Sharpness:
Moderate (+3)
Desire of defense:
Moderate (+3)
Desire of fighting:
High or very high (+3 - +1)
Nerve structure:

Very calm and self assured or
calm and self assured,

(+3 - +2)
Temperament:

Lively

(+3)
Hardness:
Moderate hardness or hard (+3 - +2)
Accessible:
Kindness and openness (+3)
The typical "deficiencies" of a "non working" boxer are: not enough desire to fight, low defense desire, not enough eagerness to work, softness and lack of temperament. It's clear that it is very difficult to breed a dog like this, but I feel that QUICK, my German Import male, (who passed away a long time ago) was one of the very closest ones.
His son ROMEO (Finnish Champion Tekoneva's European Eclįt, IPO I, SchH III, CD, TDI) has proven to have unsurpassed temperament, second to none! Romeo's son Tekoneva's Galaxy, "Bam Bam"  SchH 2, AD, continues the family tradition, owned and trained by Wilson Rosa, and our future is Bam Bam's son; our boy "Rambo" Caramba von Rosa de Tekoneva, SchH 3, NA, NAJ. I am sure Rambo will live up to his name in the SchH field! Year 2003 was Rambo's year! He earned his SchH 3 title with V rated score in Protection under United Schuthund Club of America with a German Judge. This super male represents third generation of Tekoneva's male line!
We have also bred very outstanding agility boxers: MACH Tekoneva's Scarlet O" Hara "Katie". Tekoneva's Olympia "Pia" MX, MXJ (needs one double Q for MACH) Tekoneva's Sky-high Abigail, MX, MXJ. Katie and Pia have their own pages on my site. New raising star Tekoneva's Under the Tuscan Sun NA, OJ with owner-trainer Adrienne Dreller!
We are not planning to have any boxer puppies for the year 2007 and 2008. Please contact Linda: bylinboxer@aol.com for availability of Cenza's pups for 2008.
